Welcome to Little Smiles on Broadway Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics! We are committed to providing high-quality dental care for children in a comfortable, friendly, and compassionate environment. To ensure a smooth experience for both our patients and their families, please take a moment to review our office policies.
Appointments
- Scheduling: Appointments can be scheduled by phone, through our website, or in person at our office. We recommend scheduling your child’s next appointment at the time of their visit to ensure availability.
- Cancellations: We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. This allows us to accommodate other patients who may be waiting for an appointment. A cancellation fee may apply if you fail to notify us within the required timeframe.
- Late Arrivals: Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive late, we may need to reschedule your appointment or shorten your visit to avoid impacting the schedules of other patients.
Insurance and Billing
- Insurance: We accept most major dental insurance plans. Please bring your insurance card and any relevant information to your first appointment. We will verify your benefits and file claims on your behalf. Please be aware that some services may not be fully covered by insurance.
- Payment Options: We accept a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and checks. For patients without insurance or with high-deductible plans, we offer flexible financing options and payment plans.
- Co-payments: Any co-payments or out-of-pocket expenses are due at the time of service. If there are any questions about your bill, please contact our billing department, and we will be happy to assist you.
Patient Privacy
- Confidentiality: We take patient privacy very seriously. All medical and personal information is kept strictly confidential in accordance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations.
Financial Policy
- Payment Responsibility: The parent or legal guardian accompanying the child is responsible for any fees incurred during the visit, regardless of insurance coverage. Any unpaid balance after insurance payments will be billed to the responsible party.
- Outstanding Balances: Accounts with outstanding balances will be subject to follow-up reminders, and we may work with patients to set up a payment plan. Any unpaid accounts may be referred to collections after a certain period.
Behavioral Expectations
- Patient Behavior: We ask that all patients be respectful and calm during their visit. If your child is nervous or anxious about their dental treatment, please inform us beforehand so we can make appropriate accommodations.
- Parental Involvement: We encourage parents to be involved in the treatment process but ask that parents remain in the designated areas during procedures. This helps minimize distractions and ensures that our dental team can provide the best care possible.
Emergencies
Dental Emergencies: In the event of a dental emergency during office hours, please call us immediately to schedule an emergency appointment. If your child experiences a dental emergency outside of office hours, please call our emergency line for instructions.
